Fine: Six Word Friday

20130130-152539.jpg

Fine is not how I’m feeling
My soul’s darkness swirling and seething

A season of cold and bitter
Yet I am not a quitter

Life is dormant. Sun will bring
Hope renewed, flowering in the Spring

  1. Kina, this is a thought-provoking quote. It’s interesting how many analogies there are to the idea of how everything lies dormant over the winter (often encased in ice up here in Maine), then finally bursts forth to new life in the spring. Ironically, I just posted on something similar regarding focusing on strengths and developing potential, which is like those dormant plants having the potential to bloom when the time is right. Thanks! ~~ K’Lee

    1. K’Lee,
Thank you so very much for visiting and leaving such a thoughtful comment.

I’m sorry it’s taken so long to reply. I’ve had a difficult week dealing with a sick child and an ill-behaved kitty, among other things.

A few months ago, I heard a gentleman speak about a spiritual application where he described this seasonal dormancy as the trees way of drawing in and conserving energy in order to survive the winter. During this time, the root system gets strengthened and the dead/dying branches are removed by weather or by pruning.

      Thank you again for visiting.

      Blessings,
      Kina

    1. Miss Purple,
Thank you for that. Some days are fine, others are less so. Some have to wrestle and reach for fine a bit more than others, at times. Fine can be a matter of perspective and comprehension. I wrote that in a moment of exhausted frustration and emotional overload. Working things out through writing helps me to reach for fine.

      Blessings,
      Kina

  2. Change your quote to present – “All is fine in my world” – Saying in the future keeps it there – in the future – you deserve it NOW!

    1. Brandi,
Thank you for that. I try to keep fighting, but sometimes you just have to take a break and regroup.

Sorry for the much delayed reply. I appreciate that you visited and left an encouraging comment.

    1. Slappp,
I understand perfectly. Soooooooo very happy to see you, thanks for stopping by. My new favorite quote is, “Everything will be alright in the end. If it isn’t alright, it must not be the end.” Or something along those lines. So, even when it isn’t, it’s still all good. Hope you know what I mean here. 😉

      Blessings,

      1. I had to read your quote three times for it to sink in…and I too must say, that’s one badass quote 🙂
We all have pieces of logic we like to fall back upon to make sense of the bullshit that surrounds us…some are better than others. But if we can all start believing in what makes us, the person, unique…and start making friends with that individual again, like when we were in childhood…then I reckon we’d be much more relaxed about the thing we call ‘The World’!
Kina, I know exactly what you mean…and I hope you know what I mean with that little ramble too 🙂
        Back’n’forth, back’n’forth…like a yoyo 🙂
